Prayers for the Tournament

While I was driving Austin to school this morning, God reminded me that we have not prayed for the tournament this year. I have to admit my prayer time has been sporadic lately.

Father I thank you for this ministry, Shore Casters for Christ. Lord you are the leader of this ministry please give us wisdom to steward this ministry as you want us to. Father forgive us that we have neglected to pray consistently for this ministry. Teach us Lord God to be good stewards of everything you place in our hands. We lift up SCFC to you Father God and pray a hedge of protection be upon every person who is part of this tournament, whether they are entrants, volunteers or by standers Lord watch over them all. I pray for boldness within the core of SCFC to share the goodness of who you are. Praying for blessings upon all the contestants that they would have fun, catch fish, and come to know you in a greater measure.

I pray a covering over Wade, this ministry was a seed you planted within his heart 3 years ago. Lord send him spiritual mentors who can guide, teach, and mentor him in how to lead this ministry. I pray for resources and provision, connect us with other ministries and partners within the community wanting to come together to create a safe sober support environment for those who need it. Lord show us what you want us to do. At times we are so lost and don't know what direction to go in, we need your guidance. Praying that this year would be a year of tremendous growth for SCFC. Lord other fishing clubs already see that there is something different about us, we are making a mark within the fishing community.. help us to make a positive impact. Lord this is our one big community event, help us to represent you well. May it be an event that people will always want to be a part of. Let it be a mighty outreach to save lost souls.

Help us to be consistent in holding fishing outings on a regular basis like we're supposed to. Praying for partnerships with other islands so we can take SCFC across the state. Praying for partners here on Maui to extend our reach to those here on our own island. Lord you've planted this seed within our heart, help us to keep it well watered that it may grow.

Lord there is such a need within the community for sober support, such a need for families to come together and be healed. We believe that SCFC can be part of the healing and sobriety of those who are lost in the depths of addictions and incarceration. Shield us from the darts of the enemy. Gird us up with your Word, strength and perseverance. Let this be our most awesome and successful event ever!

Lord have your way, in Jesus' name amen
