Teen Safe App- Mobile Monotoring

TeenSafe Tour from E4Site Inc dba Visionaire on Vimeo.

I came across this site last night while surfing for app downloads that can monitor text messages. I had taken away my 13yr old's phone a few months ago because of misuse of texting. He has been without a phone for quite a while, I have to admit that it was pretty convenient that he had one, especially when there are last minute change ups on after school pick up. I've heard of software and apps that can allow parents to monitor their child's internet, Facebook, & text messaging and wanted to look into it.

The first program I came across was Mobile Spy, seems like a good program but there's a fee. Then there's My Mobile Watchdog, again there's a fee for usage. There are many out there, it was kind of overwhelming.. too much info to read at 11:00 at night.

After a few clicks here and there I came across Teen Safe, it's free and easy to install. I haven't used it yet, since the app only works with smartphones. My son's current phone isn't a smartphone, but when I upgrade his phone (as his Christmas gift), it will be a smartphone and I plan to install this app onto it.  I know there may be some debates as to privacy, but my feeling is that if I'm paying for the phone I can monitor it.

Being a parent I thought this was a great app to share with other parents who may be concerned about their child's cellular activities. Kids are so tech savvy these days and as parents we need to be just as savvy if not more so.
